How we helped build Ark Health

Core Capital established Ark Health through the acquisition of three domiciliary care providers in 2010. We subsequently completed a further four acquisitions which were fully integrated into the enlarged Group.

Ark aims to become the UK’s leading provider of integrated social and complex care through a combination of organic and acquisition led growth.

Company progress

Formed from the acquisition of seven independent domiciliary care businesses, the Group has undergone a complete integration programme to streamline operations across the business. We have also made significant investment into the Group’s IT platform to standardise and monitor care quality standards.

In 2011, a complex care service was established to serve the needs of higher acuity patients, which now accounts for 35% of group revenue. A Private Pay service was also launched in 2012 for individuals who are ineligible for publicly funded care.

Under Core Capital ownership, Ark has grown to become a top 10 provider of domiciliary healthcare in the UK and provides c. 55,000 hours of care per week.
